Anyone have an extra joint?

…..or a spare appendage?  I’ll take whatever I can get…LOL

Well, I’m back and glad to be home!….Eleven days away from this site, hmmm….didn’t make for much weight loss, at all!  Infact, I gained.  Honestly I thought I would have had more will power, but since it was my husbands vacation week, we did a lot of running around, and nothing was really planned, being that we cancelled our trip to Virginia to “take care of business”.

We did however, go on two more college tours, one of which was more like a three mile-hike.  The drive was 3.5 hours away, so believe me I was glad to get up and moving, but the girl leading the tour walked super-fast, up hills, down hills, up-stairs, down-stairs…and one of the last buildings we saw (ironically enough) was the gym.  This place was BEAUTIFUL!  Olympic size swimming pool, state of the art equipment, and spotless! Problem was, I barely made it up the stairs to see it…LOL, after walking at what felt like 20 mph for three hours!  Crazy!  But, it was a great day and I was happy to see such a beautiful college, and being that my daughter liked it as much as I did, I hope she gets accepted.  However, I don’t know how I will deal with her being so far away.  She’ll always be my “little” girl, even though today is her birthday, and she’s turning 17.  God, I’m getting old!

-I no longer have feet.

Of course, all this “touring” isn’t over yet, and decisions are not finalized.  Still have a few more to see.  But, I was in LOVE with this school, and wouldn’t mind going back myself! If only for the gym!  (and lets be honest, a little partying wouldn’t hurt, either!)

As for my little one, her new favorite game is tag.  And, of course I was “IT”, 85% of the time.  Has anyone ever been chased by a very healthy three and a half year old impala, for over an hour?  Well, I felt like a rabbit dodging a bullet and I’ll tell you this, the key is to stay “IT”, because once they are chasing you, your done for.

-I no longer have ankles.

Let’s not forget the gardening…weeds, weeds, and more weeds, and the weed-whacker, just happened to make it’s final debut, which led me to have to pull them all by hand. Let’s just say,

-I no longer have arms.

Anyway, we also, took the baby to the zoo…what a fun day! I was chased by a goat….(burned approximately 1000 calories).  Spent another day playing miniature golf and hitting golf balls as far as I possibly could, (when I actually hit the ball, that is).

And, last but not least, bought some tennis racquets, playing 3 days in a row.  Played about 2 hours the first day, an hour and half the second and about 45 minutes the third day. (Notice the trend there?)  My body was definitely telling me something….and that was: “Girl, give it up, you are so NOT the next Billy Jean King!”

-I no longer have knees, elbows, shoulders, neck or a back for that matter.

Alright well, I know I didn’t lose any weight, and maybe have a little trouble walking, standing, sitting, etc. but, maybe, just maybe, I gained muscle…(I never heard of anyone gaining 3 pounds of muscle in such a short time) but, that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

Note to self: Next time, try Water Aerobics.

Glad you had a good time. Don’t worry you didn’t lose any pounds, but remember muscle weighs more than fat. You can get back into your routine now you are home, and with lots of water and good food choices, you’ll see the scale moving downward.

Just goes to show how big a role Buddyslim plays in helping us stick to the program. I’m often tempted to call the whole thing off for a few days…. but I have to admit, I’m afraid. Lord knows what I might do (or undo) if I’m not making myself accountable to my buddies and teammates here. I don’t want to chance it. I see too many of you take off for a bit, then come back with a gain. So, if you don’t mind having me, I think I’ll stick around. (forever?) ;) ps, glad you had such a good time, I’ll bet it’s all muscle.

LMAO! I love your blog! I sat here and laughed out loud more times than I think I ever had in reading a blog. Sounds like you had a wonderful time and 3.5 hours isn’t that far away…it could be alot worse. However, with that being said, what is the name of the school? I’m not going to enroll (that would cost too much) but maybe get a job there just so I can use the gym :)

Have a great Tuesday! (Oh wait, I said that already huh?) ;)

    Glad to have you back!
I’m so thankful I now have access to BS at home; without this place I would not be where I’m at.

LOL!! ROFLMAO!!! That was the most entertaining blog I’ve read in awhile–thank you!! I love your sense of humor and your positive outlook at not having lost any weight inspite of the ridiculous amount of exercise you’ve done in the last week—-and here I was hosting a pitty party for myself!! THANK YOU for writing this Flo…I really enjoyed it!

OMG Flo you crack me up!!! I would have a hard time watching my baby go off to college too! Sounds like a wonder school though. I could give you a couple of my body parts on loan this week because I seem to be having a hard time staying on track and don’t seem to be using much of anything except my mouth my arms to hold this baby and my fingers to type…lol legs are all yours…lol
